As media consumption shifts more toward OTT devices such as Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, and FireTV, testing the audio and video quality of these rich media devices becomes more important. Telecom companies must ensure that streams are served with an appropriate download bitrate while still delivering the high audio and video quality users expect, but traditional media testing platforms frequently struggle to:

  • Capture test data for DRM-protected content
  • Assess perceptual video quality w/o a reference video or a subjective user-submitted measure (such as MOS)
  • Automate audio/video testing across a wide variety of user devices, including tablets, phones, smart speakers, and set top boxes

In this webinar we demonstrate a novel approach to testing in Telecom companies, specifically focusing on special audio/video use cases across various devices by leveraging the new HeadSpin Audio-Visual Platform.
