AI tools are everywhere nowadays, and it’s common to hear them being discussed in the context of test automation. Many AI tools are free to use but are closed source, and many are paid or proprietary. In this webinar, I will give a brief overview of the space and open with a discussion of a survey on GenAI use for test automation. Then, we will explore together the open source AI models and tools that can be used to assist with test automation and make comments about the suitability of the open source ecosystem as well as ideas for future development. The open source world (for example, Selenium and Appium) has traditionally been a critical component of automated testing at scale. Will the same be true in an AI-assisted future?
